Model 150C has five axes of motion. As shown below, the part fixture
locates the part in 2 axes: Y stage and Rotation. The sensor moves
in 3 axes: vertically (Z Stage), horizontally (X Stage) and azimuth (Tilt
Stage).
Using a line scan sensor, Model 150C paints a swath 20 mm (0.8")
long of data points as it is moved over the part surface by the five
axis motion control system. Range tracking algorithms keep the
sensor in focus as it scans. Scanning is 20 times faster than a
point scan sesnor, giving more points to the datacloud and therefore higher
resolution to dimensions.
